About the Role


As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining essential site utilities and ensuring all facilities operate smoothly with minimal downtime.



Key Responsibilities



  • Carry out preventive maintenance, fault-finding, and troubleshooting across essential site utilities

  • Maintain HVAC systems, extraction fans, domestic electrical installations, and building management systems

  • Work with PLCs for control and diagnostics, ensuring operational efficiency

  • Support the operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems, cooling towers, and boilers

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including legionella control

  • Collaborate closely with production and facilities teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance



About You


This role is ideal for an electrical engineer with a strong background in production or facilities maintenance, keen to develop further expertise in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.



Key Skills & Experience


Essential



  • Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent)

  • Experience in electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and troubleshooting

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, motors, fans, and building management systems

  • Must be able to assist with mechanical maintenance if needed

  • Flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Willingness to undergo additional training


Desirable (Training Available)



  • Experience in gas, refrigeration, or boiler maintenance

  • Background in food manufacturing or FMCG environments

  • Multi-skilled engineering experience across production and facilities



Working Hours



  • Monday - Friday with rotating shifts:


    • 6am - 2pm, 2pm- 10pm


  • Occasional Saturday work (every six weeks, two Saturdays required, with time in lieu or overtime)
