Electrical & Mechnical Engineer (Bury St Edmonds)
Our client is looking for skilled Electrical OR Mechnical Engineers with experience in manufacturing, processing, warehouse, or cold storage environments. This is a hands-on role that involves maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding on electrical systems, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical/mechanical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on industrial equipment.
• Safely use power tools, including drills, grinders, cutting equipment, saws, files, and presses.
• Work at heights using ladders, steps, and walkways.
• Handle hot and cold equipment, following safe systems of work and PPE requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Work collaboratively with other engineers and teams to ensure smooth production processes.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, processing, warehouse, or cold storage environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with electrical systems, industrial wiring, and control panels.
• Proficiency in using power tools and electrical components.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in temperature-variable environments (hot/cold).

Desirable:

• Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ, HNC, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering).
• Knowledge of risk assessments, PPE requirements, and safe working procedures.
