To support our growing business, Magdalene are currently looking to recruit Project Engineer to work on our Fixed projects throughout the UK. This is a hybrid position working onsite, at home and at a local Magdalene office.
As the Project Engineeryou will be part of our Project Management Officewho are responsiblefor the planning and delivery of a range of telecommunications projects for high profile customers.
You will boast excellent co-ordination and clerical skills in order to support the Project Manager and to enable the team to achieve the project deliverables. You will possess the willingness to learn a range of projects to provide the necessary support to our teams.
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
Assisting the Project Manager and co-ordinator to ensure the project is delivered in time, within budget and to customer specification.
Monitoring and controlling Health & Safety requirements and ensuring that all staff continue to operate in a safe and effective manner.
Monitoring all physical installation works
Maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities; resolving problems; reporting change
Providing engineering support to the customer, field resource and project team.
Assisting with customer requests of site surveys
Site survey validation
RAMS documentation validation
Validation of site completion documentation and submitting to the customer
Tracking of equipment change processes.
Reporting of all on-site activities both internally and externally
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
Experience of working with hand-over/acceptance documentation
Experience of site planning
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external organisations (Magdalene, customer and suppliers)
Good problem-solving skills
Experience of managing and driving project progress
Excellent team player; cooperative, reliable and able to communicate constructively
Objective outlook with the ability to consider the broader impact decisions
Able to take ownership of issues and manage resolution
Ability to understand project budget, time and quality delivery
Previous experience of deployment of telecoms vendor equipment
Key Attributes:
Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering background
Experience with working transmission equipment installation/testing & Data Equipment installation
Ability to co-ordinate logistics for on-site installations
Ability to respond flexibly and effectively to change
