Role Overview:
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing assigned projects, ensuring optimum efficiency and profitability. You will coordinate activities and resources to achieve company goals and maintain high standards of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
General Management:
- Direct, supervise, and support project-related operations.
- Plan, develop, and implement activities for efficient project execution.
Customer Service:
- Maintain high standards of customer service.
- Develop and nurture relationships with existing and potential customers.
Standards:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and legislation.
- Collaborate with support departments for necessary advice and guidance.
Operational Procedures:
- Plan and allocate tasks to team members.
- Monitor daily workloads to ensure efficient and profitable project operations.
- Prepare and adhere to project timelines and material procurement schedules.
- Establish good working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Commercial:
- Monitor project performance against targets.
- Assist in preparing ongoing and final project accounts.
- Coordinate sub-contract orders and major material purchases.
Administration:
- Ensure project files are maintained according to company procedures.
- Perform administrative duties to support project management.
Personnel:
- Communicate clearly with project team members and monitor performance and productivity.
Health and Safety:
- Uphold company health and safety standards.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Business Development:
- Maintain and develop customer contacts in collaboration with the Senior Project Manager.
Projects:
- Implement and conclude specific projects to improve overall group performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in managing electrical projects.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and legislation.
