Our client is an prominent leader in the mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and mechanical and electrical solutions sectors and they are currently recruiting for 2 no. Electrical Project Engineers to work on a MOD site in the Reading area.� With a strong commitment to designing, installing, and maintaining the intricate systems and technologies that are crucial to the UK's building services projects, the company plays a vital role in bringing buildings to life. Their projects span a range of sectors, delivering innovative solutions that not only meet client needs but also enhance community well-being.
The Role and its Responsibilities
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be integral to the successful execution of complex projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the senior project team in implementing engineering strategies and frameworks for designated projects.

Managing materials, labour, and resources within budgetary constraints to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.

Effectively communicating all systems, design information, and quality procedures to relevant stakeholders.

Assisting project delivery teams by verifying work, providing technical support, and conducting regular audits.

Leading or participating in assurance processes by identifying best practices and areas for improvement, particularly concerning safety, finance, and quality.

Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, technical consultants, and suppliers, managing their contributions to the design, development, and delivery of technical solutions.

Due to the sensitive nature of the projects, candidates must hold UK citizenship, possess a valid UK passport, and be eligible for SC level Security Clearance.
The Individual
The ideal candidate will have experience throughout the full project lifecycle of mid to large-scale building and infrastructure construction projects, particularly within building services. Key qualifications include:

Proven electrical engineering expertise and subject matter knowledge.

Familiarity with current engineering best practices relevant to the discipline.

A valid CSCS card.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships under pressure.

A commitment to innovation and engineering excellence, with a customer-centric approach.

Desirable skills include an understanding of BIM and experience with DFMA design, manufacture, and installation.
Skills and Education
Relevant engineering degree and professional qualification (e.g., MICE, MCIBSE / ONC/HNC).

Previous electrical engineering experience and proven subject matter expertise.

Up-to-date knowledge of engineering practices and standards.

Valid CSCS card.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desire for continuous professional development and innovation.

Understanding of BIM is a plus.
