About the Role: As a Shift Engineer, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, and minor installations in a corporate, client-facing environment. You will work 12-hour shifts on a 4 on, 4 off schedule (days only, no nights), supporting the call-out rota when on shift. A high-level security clearance is required for this role.



Key Responsibilities:



Perform routine maintenance on building plant, equipment, and systems



Respond to Building Management System alarms and emergency repairs



Issue and control Permits to Work



Maintain Critical cooling water systems and domestic systems to L8 standard



Ensure availability of suitable spares for maintenance



Keep comprehensive maintenance records (task sheets, electronic records)



Adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments



Supervise engineering subcontractors and ensure compliance with protocols



Develop good working relationships with Integral and client staff



Ensure a safe and healthy working environment, complying with policies and procedures



Present a professional image and deliver excellent customer service



Provide shift cover for absent team members



Support annual building shutdowns



Experience & Qualifications:




  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Critical Environments (e.g., Banking HQ, Data Centres)

  • LV Authorised Person (bonus)

  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or similar

  • C&G Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent

  • 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation (training available for 17th Edition holders)

  • C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing, and certification

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proactive in achieving high operational standards

  • Good IT and report writing skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver services within time constraints
