Electrical Technician

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with an engineering business with over 40 years experience across civil nuclear, defence and nuclear consultancy work to recruit an Electrical Technician for its Aldermaston site.

The Electrical Technician role comes with a base salary of �43,000 per annum + �200 a week accommodation allowance (if 50miles + from site) + �25 daily food allowance (if 50miles + from site) + healthcare plans + enhanced maternity and paternity pay + life assurance + training & development opportunities.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor you will:

• Conduct installation, modification, maintenance, testing, inspection, and decommissioning tasks as directed by line management.
• Testing and trials of all types of systems and equipment.
• Work from schematics/drawings to install equipment.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• NVQ Level 3 (minimum) in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• IET 18TH Edition Wiring Regulations

Personal skills

The Electrical Technician role would suit someone who is:

• Able to pass security clearances (British Nationals only)
• Experience working within a factor or site work environment
• Experienced working within an engineering, scientific, or construction environment.
