Educated Appointments are delighted to be assisting one of our long-standing clients in Birmingham to recruit an Electrical Training Officer/ Assessor within Apprenticeships.�
The provider, who are a graded GOOD provider by Ofsted, are looking for applicants who have some top notch Electrical Installation experience and qualifications in which they can utilise to assist Apprentices undergoing Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeships. This role is not just for experienced and qualifed assessors; this is a perfect starting point for anybody who has experience on the tools who would like to become an Apprenticeship Assessor.�
The company currently train circa 400 electrical apprentices with around 180 local and national electrical contractors. The Training Officers/ Assessors play a vital part within apprenticeship delivery, working with apprentices to complete their NVQ portfolio, assessing evidence and reviewing them regularly. The Training Officer/ Assessor also acts as a mentor and main point of contact for the individual undertaking the apprenticeship.�
Local and national travel will be required to review and assess apprentices across the UK, therefore a full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.�

Responsibilities
- Supporting Apprentices with building NVQ portfolio.
- Assessing Apprentices Evidence and Electrical Work in the workplace.�
- Undertaking progress reviews with apprentices every 10-12 weeks.�
- Working with employers and supporting successful training of their apprentices.�
- Visiting sites UK-wide to undertake reviews and assessments.�
- Undertaking Assessments at the clients Birmingham Training Centre.�
- Assessing Practical Work.�
Desired Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as an Electrical Training Officer or Assessor (D32/ D33, A1 or TAQA/ CAVA) OR Qualified Electrician looking for a change of direction.�
- Qualifications in Health & Safety and NVQ Assessment (IOSH Managing Safety).
- City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation/ Level 3 NVQ Apprenticeship.�
- AM2
- Ideally 18th Edition of Level 3 Test & Inspection Qualification.�
25 Days Annual leave + Statutory Holidays.�
Car Allowance of �2.5K per annum upon completion of 6 month probation period.�
