Our client, a national facilities management company, is looking to recruit a self-motivated, tenacious and dedicated Electrician / Test and Inspect Engineer to undertake the day-to-day operation, planned maintenance, fault finding and repair, periodic inspections and testing of the Electrical services found in a building services environment for their National Blue-Chip Contracts.







Reporting to the Electrical Divisional Manager, duties will include:






  • Conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments.




  • Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear and control equipment.

  • Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards.

  • Provide clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions.

  • Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices.

  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice.

  • Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as required.

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance technical skills





Ideally as a successful candidate you will have previous experience within a similar role together with NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations and/or equivalent C&G 2391.



�You will also possess the confidence working autonomously within planned and preventive maintenance operations, in a setting where quality and compliance are paramount.





Full driving licence (maximum 3 points/no disqualifications) is also essential.
