About the Role:
Our client seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join their team, specialising in responsive repairs and void properties within social housing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring electrical systems are safe, compliant, and fully operational in both occupied and empty properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical repairs and maintenance in occupied social housing properties, responding to urgent and routine repair requests.
Conduct electrical inspections, testing, and certification in void properties to ensure they meet safety standards before re-occupation.
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
Ensure all work complies with current regulations and standards, including the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Complete and maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including test results and certification.
Liaise with tenants, housing officers, and other trades to ensure effective communication and coordination of work.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing tenant concerns and ensuring satisfaction with completed work.


Qualifications and Experience:
Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
2391 Testing and Inspecting qualification (or equivalent).
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within social housing.
Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations and standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Full UK driving license.
