The Just Recruitment Group Ltd is currently recruiting for an Electro Mechanical Design Engineer for a manufacturer based in Sudbury, Suffolk.
The role will involve the design and detailing of safety equipment tooling including packing jigs, holding fixtures, special to type tooling, inflation adaptors & pressure test equipment. Compilation of full design data packs to allow manufacture.
Duties will include
- Work alongside Service technicians to ensure product specification compliance.
- Liaise effectively with other designers, engineers, quality, and production engineers on all
relevant aspects of each project, ensuring that successful and profitable production takes
place.
- Be able to reverse engineer existing tooling to allow collation of design data.
- Produce detailed drawing sets to the correct commercial, aerospace and military standards.
- Control and issue design schemes, manufacturing drawings and all other necessary technical
documentation in line with all relevant Quality procedures.
- Plan, organise and accurately monitor workload to meet strict deadlines.
- Maintain a fully traceable technical file for each project.
Essential experience
- 3D CAD Skills must include SolidWorks.
- Exceptional computer literacy, with enhanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages.
- Formal engineering background.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant industrial experience.
