Electronic and Electrical Engineer
Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced�Electronic and Electrical Engineer to join our well established client.�
The Role:�




  • Undertake both reactive and preventative maintenance to a wide range of combustion / instrumentation / control systems in a modern production facility.�

  • Working independently on faults, developing and implementing solutions as well as monitoring performance, prediction of failures and implementing improvements to increase safety, production output and plant reliability.

  • Assist in the efficient planning and running of the process control function through following routine planned maintenance schedules, quality assurance and the coordination responses to breakdowns.

  • Calibration of instrumentation.�

  • Following Health and Safety guidelines.�



Requirements:�




  • Hold a recognised Electrical / Instrumentation apprenticeship (HNC/ONC level or equivalent).�

  • Competence in 16th / 17th Edition I.E.T. Wiring Regulations.

  • Previous Instrumentation / Control / Electrical experience of industrial systems.

  • Experience of furnace combustion systems, air / gas ratio control, PID control for burner systems and thermocouples.

  • Experience of a wide range of measurement and instrumentation methods and equipment.

  • Experience of electronics including fault finding and repair to component level.

  • Experience of CCTV and audio communications systems.

  • A knowledge of PLC and SCADA based systems predominantly related to fault finding would be advantageous.

  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and work with technical data.

  • Previous use of a variety of computerised maintenance management systems and other computerised tools which are regularly used in a busy Engineering function.

  • Experience of working in confined spaces and at heights would be advantageous.





�41,287.81 inclusive of shift allowance, rising to �46,858 after 12 months familiarisation.�
Shift pattern covers a 3 week cycle. Morning shifts are 06.00 to 13.00, afternoons are 13.00 to 21.00 and nights are 21.00 to 06.00. Shifts are Monday to Friday only, with weekends off. Week one and week 2 cover a mixture of afternoons and mornings and week 3 is 5 night shifts.�
This is a Full time, Permanent position.�
