A globally renowned defence engineering consultancy are looking for an Electronic Design Engineer to join their team. You will play a pivotal role in designing and developing cutting-edge digital and analogue electronics for defence and electronic warfare applications. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that make a significant impact on national security and electronic warfare technology.
Due to the nature of the end client you will need to hold DV clearance
Responsibilities:
- Design, simulate, and implement digital and analogue electronic circuits and systems tailored for electronic warfare applications and defence-related projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications, with a strong emphasis on electronic warfare requirements.
- Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of digital and analogue designs, with a focus on optimizing electronic functionality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Participate in design reviews and provide valuable input to enhance project outcomes.
- Document design specifications, test plans, and results for reference and compliance, with a focus on electronic warfare technology and capabilities.
Skills required:
- Ideally holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in digital and analogue electronic design
- Knowledge of analogue circuit design
- Knowledge/use of digital design tools (e.g., PCB CAD Spice simulation, HyperLynx signal integrity, Altium).
- Experience with hardware verification and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with defence industry standards, security protocols, and electronic warfare principles is a significant advantage.
