Electronic and Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Mildenhall, Suffolk
Hours: Monday – Friday 40 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Duties to Include:
* Install new and existing equipment, including electrical and electronic control systems.
* Support the Department Head with maintenance tasks for all departments in the group.
* Quickly respond to machinery breakdowns using fault-finding techniques, PLC software, and test equipment.
* Program and update PLCs, upgrade control panels for automated systems, with experience in Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi systems being a plus.
* Replace outdated systems to ensure company-wide reliability and consistency.
* Assist production teams to meet targets by carrying out planned maintenance.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement activities throughout the site.
* Suggest improvements and cost-saving ideas for all engineering activities.
* Record all maintenance tasks using the Maintenance software.
* Assist or supervise service engineers/contractors when needed.
* Ensure all equipment meets regulations, safety standards, and insurance requirements.
What we are looking for:
* At least 5 years of experience in a production support role.
* Strong skills in electrical and electronic fault finding, diagnosis, and repair.
* Excellent communication skills to build relationships with internal and external technical teams.
* Qualification in electrical/electronic engineering or a related field (like Mechatronics) at a minimum of level 3 (City & Guilds, BTEC ONC, or equivalent).
* Basic knowledge of electrical control systems, instrumentation, PLCs, variable speed drives, inverters, servo drives, 3-phase electrical systems, and motors (experience with vibration feed controllers is a plus).
* Experience with Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi systems is highly desirable.
