Electronic Engineer

Electronics Design Engineer - Portsmouth HQ (2 days p/w) - Must be eligible for security clearance (British national with no dual nationality/citizenship) - up to £65k + bonus A global Defence client with HQ’s around the U.K are looking to bring onboard a Security cleared or willing to be security cleared Digital Electronics Design Engineer to join the team based in Portsmouth on a hybrid remote basis.The successful candidate will be joining at a crucial time for the business as they aim to accelerate the development of a number of their products, systems and sub-systems.Key skills:Educated in either Electronics Engineering or similarExperience with component level digital electronic designs for introduction into volume production.Development of FPGA/CPLD designs.Digital design including processor interfacing, memory devices, PLD interfacing, UARTs, SPI, I2C and Ethernet.ADC/DAC devices and techniques.Design proving, integration, and defect resolution.Gathering of evidence to support acceptance, fitness for purpose, legislative requirements, and safety.Key responsibilities:Detailed digital electronic circuit design including component selection, evaluation, simulation, schematic capture, and liaising with PCB design teamsVHDL, design, code, simulation, test, and integration and embedded IPDesign verification using a combination of simulation, analysis, and test techniques, including support to EMC test houses and customer installations.Generate design documentation and technical reports.Interfacing with related disciplinesAssist the development of higher-level system designs and development of technical requirement specifications.Support system integration activities.Synergize Consulting is committed to equality and diversity in our workplace.
