Role: Tier 1 Customer Technical Support

Location: Tadworth Surrey

Salary: �30,000

This role requires a highly motivated and skilled Tier 1 Customer Technical Support person, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our customers.

You will play a critical role in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of technologies and collaborate with various teams, including the engineering support department to ensure a smooth operation of the support desk.

Daily Duties:

  • Provide prompt and efficient first line technical support to customers via phone, email, or chat, ensuring all queries are handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and issue resolutions
  • Collaborate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams to escalate complex issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Track and log all support requested and their resolutions in the ticketing system, maintain accurate records.
  • Assist customers with system configurations and troubleshooting
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Train customers on product features and usage
  • Support the creation and maintenance of documentation and knowledge base guides relating to processes, procedures, troubleshooting guides and user manuals.

Must have skills:

  • Technical experience/qualification in Computer Science, Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Proven work experience as a Tier 1 Support Technician or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Able to work on own initiative and with minimum levels of supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, written skills, and telephone manner
  • Confident and outgoing
  • experience working in a similar role, providing technical support to end-users an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is essential
