Electronics Design Engineer (HV Analogue) – London (Hybrid) - £60,000 + Bonus + Ex. Benefits – PermanentPrimary Purpose:The primary purpose of this role is to develop, qualify, and document high-voltage hardware for Power Feeding Equipment (PFE), which powers subsea systems by converting low to medium voltage DC to high voltage DC. Chance to work for a company designing and manufacturing cutting-edge technologies with a global impact.Key Responsibilities:Product Development: Engage in the development of high voltage circuits on PCBs, ensuring precise high-side current and high voltage measurements.Circuit Design: Design both analogue and digital circuits, with an emphasis on analogue design. Knowledge of A to D and D to A techniques is advantageous.Closed Loop Control: Apply understanding of closed loop control in the design process.Simulation and Tools: Use simulation tools like PSpice and schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Zuken CR5000 or Altium. Proficiency in MS Office tools is essential.Product Testing and Validation: Model and test developed products during the development phase. Formally validate them during the qualification phase against set requirements for functionality, environmental conditions, EMC, product safety (IEC-62368-1 compliance), reliability, availability, lifetime, manufacturability, testability, and cost.Documentation: Generate requirement specifications, schematics, test information, reports, and manufacturing information as required to support the development and qualification of products.Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high voltage hardware design, closed loop control, circuit design (analogue essential/digital desirable), and power electronics.
