Electronics Design Engineer (LV Analogue) – London (Hybrid) - £60,000 + Bonus + Ex. Benefits – PermanentPrimary Purpose:The primary purpose of this job is to develop, qualify, and document hardware for Power Feeding Equipment (PFE) in undersea cable systems. This includes designing analogue and digital circuits, interfacing with communication protocols, and working with power electronics and FPGA/CPLD hardware. The role involves testing and validating products against functional, environmental, safety, reliability, and manufacturability standards.Benefits:Competitive salary, an excellent package and hybrid working.Dynamic and collaborative work environment.Opportunity to play a pivotal role in a team supporting critical global infrastructure projects.Chance to work for a company designing and manufacturing cutting-edge technologies with a global impact.Primary Responsibilities:Lead product development in various Electrical/Electronic engineering disciplines, including:Analogue and digital circuit designA to D and D to A techniques Closed loop control (analogue and digital)Interface development (e.g., RS422/485/232, CAN, USB, EthernetPower ElectronicsFPGA and CPLD hardware implementationUtilise tools such as PSpice for simulation, Zuken CR5000 or Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout, and digital tool chains (e.g., VHDL) for design.Develop and test products during the development phase and formally validate during the qualification phase to ensure:Agreed functionalityEnvironmental compliance and EMCAdherence to product safety standard IEC-62368-1 (e.g., creepage, clearances)Reliability, availability, and longevityManufacturability and testability (DFx)Cost-effectivenessGenerate detailed requirement specifications, schematics, test reports, and manufacturing documentation as required.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent in a relevant field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant R&D, with a preference for manufacturing experience.Strong understanding of general electrical/electronic and mechanical engineering principles.Proficiency in MS Office tools.Excellent communication skills.How to apply:To apply for this excellent opportunity, please get in touch!
