An opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Design Engineer to join a busy product development team. The company's main IP is the design of multisensory environments (MSE), therapy for people with autism and other developmental disabilities, dementia or brain injury. The role is ideal for a recent electronics graduate with at least one year of industry experience and a broad skill set across Hardware and Firmware. The ideal all-rounder should be passionate about new design concepts with a willingness to broaden their existing skill set.
As Electronics Design Engineer, the individual will be tasked with developing new electronic product ideas and bringing suggested electronic products to fruition from various stakeholders. They will oversee development projects from initial research through to manufacturing and delivery, identifying new market opportunities and developing products to meet emerging needs.
Key Responsibilities as Electronics Design Engineer:
Lead the initiation of new product ranges and product refreshes.
Develop detailed product specifications, hardware designs, prototypes, and embedded software.
Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure accurate briefings and timely delivery.
Cultivate strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers for specific projects.
Conduct product feasibility studies and provide calculations for capital projects.
