Electronics Technician

Location: Cambridge (CB25)

Duration: 2 months initially, could extend or go permanent

Hours: 9am until 5:30pm (Monday to Friday) - some flexibility available

Salary: �14.00 - �17.00 per hour

Polytec are looking for an Electronics Technician to start immediately for our client based just north of Cambridge.
Responsibilities:
* Assembly, rework and repair of electronic equipment

* Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues

* Keeping accurate records of repairs, maintenance and modifications
Requirements:
* Ability to solder very small package components (#####, QFPs, and others)

* Use of soldering irons, hot air guns, microscopes

* Ability to follow diagrams and identify electronics components

* Experience with soldering and rework stations

* Familiarity with diagnostic tools and test equipment

* Electronics technical support experience in a development environment desirable

* ESD protection awareness

* IT literate, competent using MS Office
