About the Role:

I am seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join a team in Bath for an exciting new project. You'll play a pivotal role in the development of a low-cost Software Defined Radio (SDR) system, focused on user onboarding for programming. Initially, you'll enhance and expand a single-application setup into a more comprehensive and scalable solution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecting Innovation: Design and develop software architecture for our SDR project, ensuring scalability and flexibility.
• Strategic Planning: Work closely with product leads to break down complex projects into manageable tasks and timelines.
• Crafting Excellence: Write production-ready code in embedded languages like C, C++, Go, or Rust, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability.
• Driving Performance: Optimize, test, and debug software for high performance.
• Commercial Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize solutions that align with the project goals.

Essential Skills:

• Software Defined Radios (SDR) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
• Proficiency in Embedded C, C++, Go, or Rust
• Familiarity with Linux Kernel development and embedded systems (RTOS, microcontrollers, etc.)

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge of RF and wireless systems
• Experience developing Linux drivers
