EMEA Client SolutionsState Street’s product organisation is leading an exciting period of transformation for the business and requires an experienced solutions lead with cross product expertise to lead the design of complex operating models in support of State Street’s clients.FunctionThe EMEA solutions team is engaged by the Coverage organisation (CCO) to lead the design of complex operating models for existing and prospective clients. The role is typically engaged at the outset of client interaction and is critical to ensure the needs of clients are understood and then translated to an operating model the client and State Street can work to. As such the role represents the Bank, needs to fully understand State Street’s capabilities and be a trusted partner to clients and internal functional partners, particularly in operations and product. The team consists of 6 people all of whom have areas of specialisation but at the same time the ability to speak broadly across all products in the State Street front, middle and back office set of capabilities. The industry is embarking on a period of significant change, and innovation where institutional investors are reviewing their operating models in order to deal with organisational change, outsourcing, efficiency and realise alpha, this role is key to establishing a partnership between State Street and institutional investors.Key ResponsibilitiesSolutioning complex operating models based on detailed understanding of client scope, requirements and goalsCapture current end to end model of the client, and articulate future STT value proposition including integration between all stakeholders and state of the art technology architecturesClose collaboration with the CCO teams to prioritise engagements and participate in the deal teamClose collaboration with the Alpha organisation to ensure an integrated front to back solution is designedWork with Global Delivery and Technology to identify challenges in operating model design and call out areas that may require technology builds and changes to the existing operating modelBuild business cases for change, showing options, cost and effort for review as part of State Street deal reviews, client change and development spend processesLead role at all stages of deals lifecycle, becoming a trusted partner to the client and all internal stakeholdersIdentify gaps at early stage  and support resolution through RFP and Onboarding processes in joint effort with product, GD and technologySet internal best practice on the approach to operating model design including decision tree criteria where State Street has more than one option to resolve a client requirementGrow your individual knowledge of your specialist area and the broader State Street solution set such that you can engage across client types on a multiproduct basisEnsure the deal pricing is done with fair assessment of client scope, including volumes of assets/funds and targeted service offer;Provide support for Request for Information / Proposals, including the Executive Summaries, and Client meeting preparation.SkillsAbility to succinctly communicate complex operating modelsCurious and agile, expert in private market and hedge funds solutions and also able to expand expertise for deals with a broader scope of investments/distributionStrong project management and analytical skills,Partnership skills to break through silos across the organisationExcellent presentational skills and ability to use Microsoft toolsComfortable being on point with senior leadership with both the client and internal stakeholdersProven track record of working with large complex clients and establishing strong partnerships at all levelsStrong working knowledge of technology, market infrastructures and industry partners that support institutional investorsExperienceSeasoned VP, ideally with experience of the asset owner and insurance marketsWorked in Operational, Product, Client Service organisations in prior rolesPrior experience working in Institutional InvestorsConsultative experience working with large complex institutional investorsStrong team player who can thrive in a large complex global organizationAbout State StreetWhat we do.
