Role Overview: The Employee Benefits Consultant will competently provide advice to clients on Group Risk products (including group life, group income protection, and group critical illness) as well as Private Medical Insurance and similar products (such as cash plans and dental schemes), in line with the Financial Conduct Authoritys (FCA) rules and procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Provide advisory services to new and existing clients on Group Risk and Private Medical Insurance, including renewals, rebroking, and technical queries (full administrative support will be provided by the administration team).
Opportunity to engage with Group Personal Pension plans should the candidate wish to.
Manage relationships and provide ongoing advice to existing corporate clients as required, while creating and maintaining relationships with providers.
Identify and contact potential new corporate clients, gathering sufficient information to understand client needs.
Analyse information gathered and conduct research to make suitable recommendations, collaborating with the corporate services administration team as needed.
Ensure that the level of service agreed upon with each client is delivered promptly.
Liaise with professional connections regarding existing clients and engage with potential new connections to develop new client opportunities.
Attain and maintain competent status as defined by the FCA.
Maintain performance standards in accordance with the Key Performance Indicators outlined in the Training & Competence scheme.
Identify Continuing Professional Development (CPD) needs through self-assessment and feedback to maintain and enhance Competent status and undertake appropriate activities to meet those needs.
Requirements: Hold a relevant qualification or be willing to work towards one.
Possess detailed knowledge of the FCA
