Job Title: Associate Relations Specialist (Temporary - 3 Month Contract)

Location: Waltham (Remote working available)
Rate: Up to £220/day
Duration: 3 months, with potential for extension based on business needs

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Relations (AR) Specialist to manage AR casework and support a dedicated client group. The AR Specialist will be responsible for advising and coaching Line Managers and P&O (People & Organisation) Business Partners on various associate relations issues, ensuring alignment with company principles and employment law. Key Responsibilities:

AR Case Management:
Serve as the main point of contact for AR case management for a dedicated client group.
Provide expert advice to Line Managers and P&O Business Partners on AR issues such as performance improvement, conduct, grievances, sickness absence, flexible working requests, and workplace concerns.

Investigations & Compliance:
Conduct thorough, fair, and objective AR investigations, ensuring alignment with company principles, associate concepts, and UK legislation.
Partner with and coach Line Managers on performance improvement processes, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.

Policy Interpretation & Application:
Provide interpretations of AR policies to Line Managers and P&O Business Partners and recommend updates or enhancements as needed.
Ensure compliance with all AR policies and processes, ensuring consistency across client groups.

Collaboration & Case Reviews:
Work closely with the AR Manager and AR Lead on complex or high-risk situations.
Participate in weekly case review meetings to manage case volumes and identify trends.
Input case details into Service Now (SNOW) for accurate tracking and management.

Data & Insights:
Use AR data and insights to proactively identify areas for intervention and improvement.
Partner with the AR Manager to track and report on AR trends, providing input on necessary actions to mitigate risks.

Training & Development:
Coach and develop the skills of Line Managers, enabling them to handle people issues effectively and independently.
Deliver AR capability programs for Line Managers and P&O Business Partners as required.

Project Support:
Assist the AR Manager with organisational change initiatives, including restructures, business transfers, and changes to terms and conditions of employment.
Support global and regional AR projects and deliver on UK/Ireland AR strategies and priorities.

Legal & Compliance:
Partner with internal and external legal counsel on complex employment issues.
Assist with Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) in collaboration with internal legal teams and data privacy groups.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education:
Ideally CIPD qualified and educated to degree level or equivalent.

Experience & Knowledge:
Significant experience in Human Resources, with a focus on Employee Relations.
Strong understanding of UK employment law and ability to manage risk effectively.
Proven experience in case management, including the development of case management systems.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
Experience in coaching managers on performance and conduct matters.
Comfortable handling a high case load while maintaining attention to detail.

Communication & Problem Solving:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong conflict management and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills:
Strong consultancy skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Experience with P&O data analytics and insight generation.
Team player with a customer-centric mindset.
