Job Title: Employment Solicitor (3 Years PQE)Location: West Midlands, UKType: Full-Time, PermanentAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor with 3 years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) to join our clients dynamic legal team based in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and representation to both employers and employees across a broad range of employment law matters. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.Key Responsibilities:Advisory Services: Provide clear, practical, and commercially focused advice on a variety of employment law issues, including but not limited to disciplinary procedures, grievances, dismissals, redundancy, TUPE, and employment contracts.Litigation: Represent clients in Employment Tribunals and civil courts, including preparing case strategies, drafting pleadings, and advocacy where appropriate.Client Management: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of client care and satisfaction.Legal Drafting: Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, settlement agreements, and other relevant documentation.Compliance & Risk Management: Advise clients on compliance with employment law, including regulatory requirements and risk management strategies.Training & Development: Provide training to clients on employment law developments and best practices.Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the firm's employment law practice by participating in business development activities, including networking events, seminars, and client pitches.Team Collaboration: Work closely with other solicitors, paralegals, and support staff within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal services.Qualifications and Experience:Essential:A minimum of 3 years PQE in employment law, preferably within a reputable law firm.Proven experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.Strong advocacy skills with experience in representing clients at Employment Tribunals.Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.Ability to manage a diverse caseload with minimal supervision.A strong understanding of current employment legislation and case law.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A proactive approach with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Desirable:Experience in providing employment law training to clients.An existing client following or network within the West Midlands.Familiarity with HR advisory work.Personal Attributes:Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Commercial awareness with a client-focused approach.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.Strong commitment to continuous professional development.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience.Opportunities for career progression within the firm.A supportive and collaborative working environment.Access to ongoing training and professional development resources.
