End User Computing Engineer

The EUC Engineer is responsible for providing timely and effective 2nd and 3rd line support services to our growing user base. The team is largely based in our London campus, but may be required to travel to regional offices to provide on site support. The team works closely with first line, audio visual and infrastructure teams to provide a rounded IT service. They also work closely with the programme management office to deliver change projects.
The role responsibilities include:
Desktop Support
� Provide 2nd and 3rd line remote and onsite technical support to end users for hardware, software, networking and other IT related issues. Resolve incidents and fulfil service requests in a timely manner.
� Monitor incidents end-to-end, provide status updates to users, document resolutions in knowledge base.
� Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex cross-domain incidents.
� Identify opportunities for improvement in processes, knowledge sharing, and technical standards.
Hardware Support
� Install, configure, test, deploy, and troubleshoot end user devices such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals etc. following asset management and configuration standards.
Software Support
� Deploy, install, upgrade and troubleshoot standard business applications in collaboration with app owners.
� Analyse new software request, assess compatibility and approve implementation
Infrastructure Support
� Provide Tier 1 technical support for networking, wireless, VPN, VDI, virtual machines.
� Escalate complex infrastructure incidents to the relevant teams and coordinate with them for resolution.
� Collaborate on improving IT infrastructure design, architecture, standards and processes.
Mobile Device Support
� Configure, deploy and support corporate mobile devices as per standards. Troubleshoot end user issues on mobile platforms.
VIP Support
� Develop trusted relationships with executives to provide prompt support for their IT needs.
Audio/Visual Support
� Setup and support audio/visual equipment for meetings and events. Coordinate with AV vendors for maintenance.
� Proactively test and ensure readiness of AV equipment prior to meetings. Provide timely support during meetings and events.
