Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy company to recruit an Energy Asset Modelling Specialist for a hybrid role based out of Birmingham
The Energy Asset Modelling Specialist role comes with a starting salary of up to �80,000.

Responsibilities and duties
As Energy Asset Modelling Specialist you will be responsible for:
  • Developing and enhancing optimisation models for the company's energy assets (power stations, energy storage, heat grids etc).
  • Running models with multiple technical scenarios and market price sensitivities to describe the company's option space and the different possible outcomes.
  • Maintaining and updating models to reflect the changing market and asset conditions.
  • Conducting comprehensive analyses on the company's and third-party assets within the core markets.
  • Providing insights and recommendations for investments decisions and strategy projects based on model outcomes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance asset modelling and links to related processes.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
  • PHD or Masters degree in Energy Asset Modelling, Operations Research or a similar related field
  • Proven experience in energy asset optimisation and modelling in academic or within industry
  • Able to translate complex modelling results into actionable strategies.
  • Proficient in optimisation and quantitative skills
