What will you do day to day?The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following tasks:Collate, analyse and report on wholesale market price trends for energy and environmental traded productsUndertake regular web-based research on key energy trends and report to the wider teamUndertake ad hoc web-based research on specific energy trends on request by both internal and external (customer) stakeholders; present results to stakeholdersWrite commentary on energy trends based on research undertakenResearch energy policy, energy industry and non-commodity charges to support client and team objectives.Analyse trends, legislative changes and other developments in the energy sector.Update spreadsheet models with data collated from several sourcesDesign and implement upgrades to existing spreadsheet models Who will you work with?The successful candidate will work closely with the Research Manager, Reporting Manager, Risk Management (Trading) team and Energy Reporting team. There will also be opportunity to present the results of research and analysis undertaken to customers.
QualificationsEducated to at least degree level in a relevant subject, e.g. Geography, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Business Studies, etc. Educated to at least A-Level standard in Mathematics. Experience & SkillsUnderstanding of research and analysis required to evaluate energy marketsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsGood Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Outlook skillsAdvanced web-based research skills (e.g. Google)Numerate and highly literateSelf-starter, with experience of independent work and ability to work without close supervisionConfident and calm under pressure The successful candidate will be based at our London office in The Shard, but will have the flexibility to work from home for some days each week NOTEYou must have graduated within the last 3 yearsApplicants must be eligible to work in the UKOur market-leading offering provides you with benefits that suit your lifestyle.We have a virtual GP on hand for you and members of your household.
