We're expanding our Engineering team and looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to help support our engineering team based in Barway.

As one of our Engineers, you will be assisting the Engineering Team / Team Leader in providing a timely and support service to all the site production operations, thus minimising the disruption caused by breakdowns.
You will also be integral in the maintenance of the factory production machinery and equipment, ensuring that production downtime is kept to a minimum.
Key responsibilities:
\n- Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest quality and all working procedures are strictly adhered to.
\n- In liaison with the Engineering Team / Team Leader, ensuring that all jobs are prioritised in Actively seek improvements to systems and procedures and continually strive to improve the way the Department operates, highlighting any matter of safety, efficiency or reliability that could be improved.
\n- Participate in such ad-hoc projects that may arise from time to time, designing and fabricating kit as appropriate.
\n- Through the utilisation of strong communication links within the Engineering Team and the use of forecasting requirements, monitor and maintain stock levels of commonly used parts on the site and ensure all engineering requirements are fully met, year-round, in a cost-effective manner.
\n- Maintain all equipment in your possession to a required standard and advise of any repairs that are required thus ensuring an available supply of equipment to perform the tasks required.

Candidate Requirements for our Maintenance Engineer
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, able to work effectively both on their own initiative and as part of a wider team and strives to achieve exceptional results. Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
\n- Hold a level 2 engineering qualification mechanical or electrical beneficial
\n- Good fault-finding abilities
\n- Ability to work from drawings/plans
\n- Flexible approach
\n- Good mechanical abilities
\n- Effective communication skills at all levels
\n- Must be a team player with good attention to detail
\n- Proven problem-solving skills
\n- Good mix of Electrical and Mechanical experience desired.

Hours of work:
Monday to Friday - 1/3 weekends
2 weekly shift rotation:
\n- Week 1 6am to 2.30pm
\n- Week 2 9am to 6pm
\n
