Jardox is currently recruiting a qualified engineer to join the friendly, professional team at our Wincanton manufacturing site, Somerset, normal working hours 8am - 5pm.
Jardox, is the "Taste Behind the Brands." We are a one stop shop for all savoury, culinary ingredients, specialising in stocks, gravies, curry pastes, marinades, glazes, sausage & burger seasonings and herb & spice based products.
The successful candidate will undertake Maintenance Engineering and Reliability duties. The role is mainly factory based, and you will report into our Production Manager. The ideal candidate will be flexible in terms of some exceptional out of normal hours working and travelling to our head office at Sevenoaks, Kent.
The role will involve:
Working with the team to ensure reliability and productivity of Jardox equipment.
Ensuring preventative maintenance of our food production machinery is carried out.
Inspecting tools and equipment to ensure safety.
Proactively diagnosing faults and anticipating any failures in order to reduce downtime.
Maintaining accurate records of work undertaken.
Ordering parts and liaison with contractors.
Identify common failure modes and areas for Reliability and Efficiency Improvement within Engineering and Production.
Apply Reliability Centred Maintenance approaches such as Predictive Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Condition Based Maintenance, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
Apply Reliability analysis techniques such as Vibration Analysis, Condition Monitoring, Oil Analysis etc.
Collect, interpret and analyse reliability and maintenance data, updating the CMMS and writing reports with recommendations on how equipment failure can be mitigated and overall equipment effectiveness improved.
Be proactive in implementing maintenance and equipment reliability improvements and develop new maintenance work-flow methods and techniques in line with safety, quality and hygiene standards.
Manage a project to install a SAP module Computerised Maintenance Management System.
Utilise the tools and Techniques of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
The ideal candidate will have:
Electrically biased, hands on maintenance experience
PLC fault finding experience along with instruments, inverters, drives and control systems experience
IT skills and the ability and interest in fixing computing equipment as necessary
Drive to continuously improve engineering processes
Working knowledge and/or Certification in, condition-based monitoring techniques.
A strong understanding of root cause analysis and failure analysis
