Wider environmental benefits will include the landfill diversion of up to 95 per cent of waste delivered to the facility and the generation of power to 60,000 homes across the South East.The Role:The ideal candidate would be a competent Engineering and Maintenance Manager within a waste to energy, ERF, or gas/steam turbine power station experience. As the leader of the engineering department, it is fundamental you are able to manage contractors to deliver against KPI's, overseeing the processed of the waste to energy industry or power industry, including the management of PSSR legislation, organise maintenance management systems, monitor a 10 million pound budget, ensure Health and Safety e.g. method statements, risk assessments and signing in procedures are adhered to, negotiate prices for equipment and tools and more.You will be solely responsible for looking after Mechanical, Electrical and C&I Engineers and the assisting office team. Therefore you will need previous "hands on" experience and to be competent with both electrical and mechanical engineering in order to train, mentor and assist with projects.
