Engineering Manager/ Tech Lead

I am currently looking for an Engineering Manager to support a public sector client of mine. The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading a team and is a very hands on manager willing to code still.This is a hybrid role where you can work from a main office location within the UK. (you will be expected to go into the office on occasion)London: £66,038 to £90,802 per annumNational: £60,076 to £82,605 per annumMy client will consider someone stepping up from a Senior Software Developer for this role.Key responsibilities:Significant software development and engineering experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, delivering products within tight timeframes.Proven team and project management experience with an ability to manage BAU and a project simultaneously.Excellent problem-solving skills, able to understand, analyse, and evaluate a complex business scenario and convert these into proposals the deliver appropriate technical solutions.Strong stakeholder management skills coupled with a well-developed sense of user experience, to indirectly influence a variety of stakeholders across the business without direct authority.Experience building full-stack applications.Experience architecting cloud-based software solutions.Fluency in either JavaScript or C# (and ideally competence in the other if there is not fluency in both).Fluency with SQL (preferable T-SQL).Experience with Git.Experience with CI/CD.Experience with AWS/Azure.Experience of building APIs and scalable backend platforms.Understanding of MACH architecture principles.Please get in touch if you are interested in this position.
