Location: WarringtonSalary: 70K- 80K per YearContract: PermanentType: Full TimeReference: VAC-343614_1719310421Posted: June 25, 2024Engineering Manager A busy house builder have a requirement for an experienced Engineering Manager to join their Technical team to assist with the delivery of housing developments across the North West.About the role - Engineering Manager Reporting to the Technical Director you will be responsible for controlling and coordinating all engineering information between external Consultants and internal departments. The role will cover from initial viability advice and design to design development, gaining technical consents and providing advice to all other departments as well as key subcontractors.Duties & responsibilities:Take full responsibility of the Engineering function including managing a team of EngineersWork closely with the land department to ensure a smooth transition of engineering information takes placeCheck all engineering drawings and details for accuracy and commercial suitabilityApply for and secure statutory body approval of Engineering Design and ground remediationAttend design meetings with highways and drainage departments to ascertain requirements from a local authority perspective for new developmentsProcure site investigation information and engineering solutionsReview technical information and provide value engineering solutionsComplete, approve and formalise the details of all adoption agreements and monitor progress pursuing the reduction and release of outstanding bondsAssist the Technical Director to obtain fee quotations from specialist consultants for all geo-technical engineering design and technical reportsRequirements for the Engineering Manager roleExtensive experience of engineering issues gained within housebuilding industry e.g. roads and sewers, foundations, land drainage, utilities, etc A strong knowledge and appreciation of UK building regulations and health and safety requirements within the industryEngineering related qualification, degree or equivalentPrevious experience leading a team of EngineersA thorough and up to date knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements related to residential constructionA high level of proficiency in relevant design and technical based software like AutoCadWhat's on offer for the Engineering Manager roleSalary competitive (DOE)Company car or car allowanceContributory pensionHealthcareCompany bonus schemeIf you want to hear more about the Engineering Manager role please apply with an up-to-date copy of your CV or contact Deena Fields in our Bolton office on 01204 554 884.
