Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team in Brentwood. In this role you will lead and manage a team of engineers, whilst overseeing parts ordering and working closely with various departments within the business to ensure excellent service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of engineers to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
  • Optimize the team's performance and resource utilization to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Manage parts ordering, returns, and inventory to ensure engineers have the necessary tools and materials.
  • Ensure timely completion of job sheets, maintaining accurate records of work completed and issues encountered.
  • Work closely with Contract Managers to enhance customer satisfaction, resolve service issues, and implement improvements.
  • Track and monitor engineers' ETA compliance to ensure punctual service delivery.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve the team's efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven managerial experience, ideally in an engineering or technical environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of parts ordering, inventory management, and technical support operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in engineering.
  • Experience in contract management and customer service is advantageous

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8 hour days
