Based in every corner of the world, our people are passionate about what we do.As our Operations Manager you will be based at our QHE head office in Coventry, be a part of the management team and lead all aspect of project and product activities and ensure consistently high standards of on-time and on-budgets delivery through effective control and management of the team and stakeholders. A key role to ensure we continue to exceed customer expectations.What will you do ?Lead the Engineering, Design and Project Managements teams, to deliver projects on schedule, and within budget, in line with company’s procedures, industry best practices and regulations. As well as the cooperation with other functions including Production, Sales, Finance, Quality, HR and Health and Safety.Management and control of primary delivery functions and key processes within Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, and Project Management and Purchasing: supplier selection, supplier management, and buying.Active input to the overall company strategy, direction and operational goals, in-line with Quaker Houghton’s strategy.Identify, assess, and manage project risks, and make decisions on conflicting priorities.Ensure effective communication between and within departments to optimise day-to-day task fulfilment, and on-going improvements.Manage resourcing, resource requirement forecast and allocation, and capacity planning to ensure engineering activities are well resourced.Foster an environment of continuous improvement across all teams.General Work within the structure of the company’s Quality and Health & Safety procedures.What are we looking for?Education: Engineering degree, mechanical, electrical or other relevant area is a must.Experience: At least 5 years in a similar engineering team management level role.Technical skills: Understanding of standard regulations (e.g. CE Marking) as well as an expert user level of 2D and 3D design packages are key to success.What do we offer ?Pension scheme, Life insurance & bonus opportunities.25 days paid time off + bank holidays.2 days annual paid leave for volunteering.QH University: ongoing training platform for all levels.Wellbeing, Women Inclusion and other attractive DEI programs.Opportunities for growth within a dynamic and evolving environment.Who are we?Quaker Houghton, we are a global leader in industrial process and mechanical engineering present in 40+ countries.
