Engineering Project Manager
Manchester
40 hours per week, Monday Friday
Permanent contract
We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Project Manager based in Manchester to deliver best in class engineering projects - supporting the goals of the business vision, in alignment with the OGSM strategic plan.
Responsibilities within this role include:
Management and adherence to the Muller project management process and investment process for technical investment within the Muller Group (major capitals and minor in non manufacturing environments)
Ensure project budgets are closely controlled ensuring forecast spend is apparent at all times from concept to closure.
Ensure all project reporting are adhered to through Muller systems and processes (Clarity, MPR, Monthly stakeholder and finance meeting as a minimum)
Deliver of projects on time to the required quality to the designed specification as agreed and signed off by project specialists and stakeholders.
Ensure all project completion and handover documentation are submitted to the relevant site teams.
Ensure adherence to the change management process as listed in the Muller project management process.
Support the wider project team to deliver the OGSM of the business.
To directly or indirectly manage projects within the technical area of expertise.
Have awareness of Total Cost of Ownership to deliver the appropriate fit for purpose solution.
Understand the unique challenges of project management within a live FMCG environment and deliver best in class solutions.
Play an active part in continuously improving our systems and business.
Understand the impact of your own actions and others on achieving site/business OGSM.
Support improvement activities / events within all areas.
Ensure own activities are aligned to overall business objectives and know how current performance impacts the bottom line.
Collaboratively work with other teams to improve our business.
Health and safety of self and others.
Technical mentoring of project engineers
Skills & Experience required:
Degree within an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical is preferable)
Previous experience within a Project Management role
FMCG/F&B experience
Experience with dealing with Major investments
Ability to operate in an Agile and Dynamic Environments
Team Player
Willing to be involved in and not afraid of continual change to improve
