Engineering Quality Manager

A prestigious Aerospace group is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join their busy and expanding engineering facility.

Responsibilities:
Ensure all C ompany P rocedures are adhered to
Responsible for maintaining company AS9100 Certification , all Customer Approvals and C ompany QMS
Act as primary contact with all stakeholders in matters pertaining to Quality.
Lead Inspection Team providing detailed support when required .
Collate and Report Quality KPI' s to Senior Management Team
Identify trends to facilitate continuous improvement activity in a bid to drive down the cost of poor Q uality and improve delivered Quality to customer
Ensure all Non-Conformances are investigated in a timely manner and robust preventative actions are implemented
Liaise with other group company quality functions on matters of best practice.
Develop and maintain appropriate annual internal audit programme

Act as mentor/trainer in relation to process improvements
Customer facing professionalism
Key Skills and Experience:
Essential
HND/HNC education related to manufacturing (or equivalent experience)
Detailed technical inspection knowledge
AS9100 qualified auditor (internal or external)
P roven track record of Quality Management in a similar role.
Detailed k nowledge of AS9100 goo d practice methodology
Conversant with Quality Tools - 5y, 8D, Ishika wa , Pareto
Conversant in Word and Excel
Desirable
Use of MRP
Six Sigma
Mechanical Inspection
Technical CNC machining experience
