About the Role

\n

Our Recipe Dish site in Grimsby is a state-of-the-art CIP plant producing premium-quality chilled soups and sauces. The site currently employs around 200 people and generates a turnover of £30 million. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we couldn't do it without our team. As an Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the engineering team on shift, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department. You will work closely with the Production Shift Manager to coordinate maintenance activities, carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and support the wider team in achieving operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring tasks are completed effectively
\n
• Oversee PPMs and ensure compliance with performance KPIs
\n
• Work closely with the Production Shift Manager to coordinate activities
\n
• Mentor and develop engineers within the team
\n
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
\n
• Provide shift reports and attend daily meetings
\n
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime
\n

About You

\n

The ideal candidate will be a time-served HNC-qualified multiskilled/mechanical/electrical engineer with leadership experience in a fast-paced food or FMCG environment.

\n

Key Skills/Qualifications

\n

\n
• HNC qualification or time-served apprenticeship in engineering
\n
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering knowledge
\n
• 2-3 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role within food or FMCG
\n
• Ability to manage and motivate a team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently
\n
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
\n
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with multiple departments
\n
