Quantum Scholars, in collaboration with a well-regarded secondary school in Milton Keynes, is excited to offer an opportunity for an English Teacher to join their school on a long-term contract, starting after Easter. The role comes with the potential to transition into a permanent position through the school, providing long-term career stability.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a right to work in the UK and have significant amount of UK based experience teaching English Language and Literature to ages 11-16 years old.

The school hiring are based in Milton Keynes. They have a welcoming and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to excel both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students across a variety of year groups.
  • Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of students at different academic levels.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth.
  • Work closely with colleagues and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in English or a related subject.
  • Proven experience in teaching English at secondary school level.
  • A passion for helping students reach their full potential.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain an engaging and disciplined environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
