This full-time role offers a temporary-to-permanent pathway for the ideal candidate.

Role Overview:
As an English Teacher, you will inspire a love for literature and language in your students. You will deliver engaging lessons, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a strong command of the English language.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature in line with the National Curriculum.
• Use innovative and creative teaching techniques to engage students of all abilities.
• Assess, track, and provide constructive feedback on student progress to ensure academic growth.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports learning and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the department’s success.
• Participate in school events, parent evenings, and staff meetings as required.

Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated English Teacher who is passionate about education. The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognised teaching qualification with QTS or equivalent.
• Experience teaching English at the secondary level.
• A strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for English.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
• A flexible and proactive approach to teaching and learning.

To work with GSL Education, you should:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Provide an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
