Enterprise Architect

Job Title - Enterprise Architect Location - London or Leeds (Hybrid - couple days a month) Salary - £90,000 to £100,000 + 20% bonus This role is essential in maintaining system integrity, consistent application of architectures, and providing strategic direction.Key Responsibilities:Support M&A technology due diligence activities.Perform architecture activities for customer migrations between brand platforms within the group.Provide architectural leadership and support for Cross Brand strategic tech initiatives within the International Division.Establish and evolve Architecture practice both centrally and within brands.Develop a sustainable platform strategy for the international division, ensuring it is agreed upon, communicated, and driving decisions.Collaborate with business personnel to identify solutions for maximum return.Partner with executives and partners to guide marketing technology and automation strategies.Offer architecture solutions and technology leadership for the international division.Resolve and remove technical impediments to the team/solutions roadmap.Stay updated with new technologies, methods, and products.Assist senior executives in setting technology strategy and work with teams to realize the vision.Oversee budgets and project plans, managing technology risks and issues.Collaborate with product owners, enterprise architects, and technical leads to select the best technologies for business needs.Mentor and directly involve in ensuring teams can realize the architecture with project managers, technical leads, and developers.Lead and participate in architectural reviews of software, infrastructure, data, and other architectures.Ensure consistency and alignment of technology roadmaps across the organization.Integrate marketing technology fully into proprietary and third-party systems.Participate in product evaluations, RFPs, POCs, and business decisions to ensure fit and scale into the platform and organization.Collaborate with other groups on architectural-related matters.Work on pilots, proof of concepts, and innovation projects to prove new capabilities and technologies.Required Skills and Experience:Significant experience in an architectural leadership role, particularly in Internet-based businesses such as Retail, Banking, and/or IT Consultancy within a highly regulated industry.Cloud architecture and design experience, especially with AWS.Extensive experience in software design and development using web technologies and server-side applications such as C++/JEE/.NET/Kafka.Proven track record in designing complex, scalable solutions.Experience with agile/lean development methodologies and continuous delivery principles.Ability to translate architectural designs into software, considering target environment, performance requirements, and existing systems.Understanding of key non-functional requirements and their testing.Strong customer and delivery focus with significant experience in delivering marketing technology solutions hands-on.Excellent communication skills across all levels, from users to C-level executives.Ability to maintain a strategic focus while dealing with tactical day-to-day issues.Knowledge of data architectures and technologies, including relational/SQL and NoSQL databases.Willingness to learn new things, take ownership, and solve complex issues.Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, servers, deployment, provisioning, networking, and security.Extensive experience in solutions delivery/business architecture of COTS platforms.Proven ability to lead technical staff, using a range of skills including planning, organizing, and interpersonal skills.
