Environment, Health and Safety Manager

HSE ManagerAre you an experienced H&S manager with an understanding of environmental legislation around chemical, food or beverage manufacturing?Do you have a background of leading best in class HSE compliance within manufacturing?Do you hold DipNEBOSH or equivalent and are a member of IOSH / CMIOSH?MacGregor Black are partnering with a manufacturing business on the search for a HSE Manager. This is a permanent role based in Preston.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of the HSE function and develop each of the sites to a world class standard.Own environmental processes, site inspections, risk assessments, training and to interact with each of the site’s workforces on a regular basis.Coordinate corporate initiatives in HSE including process safety; lead the contractor safety program; lead the permit to work process; manage accident/incident statistics.Oversight of the HSE Legal and Corporate compliance programs.Coordination of internal and external audits and maintain ISO accreditations (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001).What are we looking for?NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent)Strong knowledge and experience in a technical industry environment, preferably in an engineering, chemical, pharmaceutical or food industry.Familiar with European and UK national health, safety and environmental laws and regulations.Proven ability to drive practical and indirect cultural change in a continuous improvement environment.Member of professional body with appropriate professional qualification (e. g IOSH, CMIOSH advantageous).Scientific / Engineering Degree - DESIRABLECan develop action plans, drive, and support large programs.Salary – Up to £60k.Please contact Rob Blackburn today for further information.
