We are excited to announce that Irwin and Colton have been engaged to recruit an Environmental Compliance Specialist for a global manufacturing firm working on their largest UK site in Bridgwater.

This offers you the perfect opportunity to shape environmental strategies, improve compliance and work towards delivering sustainable practices across the business.

Responsibilities of the Environmental Specialist:

• Lead on environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to ISO 14001, IPPC, and EA permit requirements.
• Drive waste reduction initiatives by monitoring and improving the site's environmental performance, focusing on energy, water, and gas usage.
• Support environmental audits and ensure continued improvements in environmental management systems.
• Engage with site teams to enhance environmental awareness and drive sustainability initiatives.

A Successful Environmental Specialist will have:

• Demonstratable knowledge and experience conducting ISO 14001 audits.
• A degree (BSc or MSc) in an environmental discipline with a membership to IEMA a desirable.
• Experience working in environmental compliance, ideally within a manufacturing, FMCG, or heavy industry setting.
