Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and driving the completion of site EHS compliance tasks, evaluating site EHS risks, and developing appropriate risk reduction strategies
  • Advising on EHS regulatory requirements and managing EHS risks to find compliant solutions
  • Leading and participating in incident investigations while ensuring appropriate root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented
  • Instilling and fostering a proactive EHS culture within teams and driving risk reduction opportunities
  • Overseeing the site's compliance with its A2 Environmental Permit and managing three Trade effluent Consents
  • Ensuring the site's continued accreditation to the ISO14001 Environmental Management Standard and driving continuous improvement
  • Leading the organisation's ESG Strategy and driving sustainability improvements across the business
  • Collating and reporting on carbon emissions requirements and managing the on-site Waste Contract to ensure full compliance
Job Requirements:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety and IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management or a similar technical qualification
  • Experience in environmental permit compliance and familiarity with ISO14001 Internal or Lead Auditor Training
  • A minimum of three years' experience in various EHS areas within a manufacturing setting
  • In-depth knowledge of Environmental and Health & Safety Regulations
  • Proven expertise in Risk Assessment, COSHH, PUWER, DSEAR, and Safety Management Systems
  • Strong ability to effectively interface with all organisational levels and external regulatory agencies
  • Experience in process/industrial engineering and proficiency in Microsoft Office
