ESG Senior Associate, Leading International Private Equity and Infrastructure Investor, London, UK ESG Senior Associate, Leading International Private Equity and Infrastructure Investor, London, UK About our client Our client is a leading international investor across mid-market private equity and infrastructure. The firm is looking for an ESG Senior Associate to join its Private Equity team to support the ESG and Sustainability Director across a broad range of sustainability-related projects. What the job involves Support the ESG & Sustainability Director to conduct due diligence of new investment opportunities, including assessing the status quo, analysing risks and opportunities, and developing key milestones for the ownership period Support the design and delivery of training and team events relating to ESG and sustainability Prepare for onboarding of new portfolio companies including creation of presentation materials, competitor benchmarking and materiality assessments Provide direct engagement with and support to portfolio companies as they deliver a range of sustainability initiatives Assess portfolio company performance against the firm's ESG requirements and in developing action plans to ensure improvement areas are addressed over time Lead the process of collecting ESG data from 3i's portfolio companies on an annual basis Work with colleagues from across the group to ensure a simple, aligned and efficient approach to sustainability across functions Who we are looking for Prior experience of sustainability within industry or in a consultancy capacity, ideally having supported the implementation of ESG strategies, initiatives and/or due diligence Prior experience within, or understanding of the financial services sector, would be beneficial Knowledge and understanding of common and topical ESG topics A clear commercial focus, with an ability to be innovative and pragmatic Strong written and verbal communication skills Save role Log in to apply We are the leading retained search and recruitment specialists for private markets professionals.
