Job Title: Estimating Engineer

Location: Willenhall

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum

Shift Patterns: 08:00am - 17:00 Mon/Thurs 08:00am - 01:00pm Fri

Oliver Rae is recruiting for an Estimating Engineer to provide estimates for new engineering products through the business using LEAN and best practise methodologies.

Brief description of responsibilities:

• To assist when required with planning and design of manufacturing process.
• Help drive continuous improvement programs within the department.
• Quote job requests for lead times and costs.
• Assist with the introduction of new manufacturing capabilities in the workshop.
• Assist with the continuous improvement and continuous reduction of waste.
• To closely support the operational team including programming CNC Milling and Turning machines to meet customer demand.
• Design and introduce process documentation, in line with the company BMS.
• Produce estimations for CNC machined parts.
• Produce accurate stage drawings for the manufacturing operations.
• Produce detailed documentation, set up packs and SOP's.
• Preparation of cost estimates to support the acquisition of new business to include relevant requirements.
• Manage New Product Introduction/NPI and ensure components are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience in an estimating position within the engineering industry.
• A prior knowledge of CNC machinery and their processes.
• Experience working from drawings and customer specifications.
