Building Estimator - Leeds - Permanent
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator (6 years +) to join this very successful building and refurbishment contractor based in Leeds.
Candidates must have experience knowledge of all aspects of new build construction and refurbishment and in a variety of sectors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
� Handling multiple refurbishment and new build projects up to �7m, traditional and Design & Build tenders, utilising specialist estimating software packages. Having the ability and experience to work independently to produce accurate and competitive tenders
� Appraising tender documents, preparing sub-contract and material enquiries
� Producing bills of quantities
� Risk and value management
� Preparation of budgets, estimates and cost plans
� Internal Tender adjudications and external client presentations.
� Have a good understanding of current CDM 2015 Health and Safety requirements, modern methods of construction and contractual awareness.
� Value Engineering throughout the design phase of D&B Contracts
� Preparation of analytical cost estimates including preliminaries
� Adjudication and comparison of Sub Contractor quotations.
� Liaison with sub contract and supply chain
� Experience of using estimating software
