About the Role



currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join their dynamic team, the Estimator will play a critical role in assessing project requirements, analysing costs, and preparing accurate and competitive bids for fire protection system installations and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction principles, excellent analytical abilities, and exceptional communication skills.






  • Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation.

  • Conduct thorough material and labour cost analysis to prepare comprehensive project estimates.

  • Utilize estimating software and tools to generate accurate cost projections and prepare detailed bid proposals.

  • Participate in bid review meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.

  • Monitor project budgets and provide ongoing support to project teams to ensure cost control and profitability.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory requirements to ensure competitive and compliant bids.



Requirements:




  • Proven experience as an estimator in the fire protection industry or related construction field.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately assess project costs and risks.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
