Estimator

As Senior Estimator you will be working on projects within the education, health care, hotels and leisure, residential, commercial sectors with project values up to �25 million.

Working on projects across Southampton you will work with another Senior Estimator to achieve continued success for this established company.

The ideal candidate will have track record in a similar role and will have delivered tenders to a value of �10M +

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

• Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Compute costs by analysing labour, material, and time requirements.
• Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
• Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Prepare special reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
• Maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.

About the Company/Client/Project:

A regional main contractor in the construction industry working within the education, health care, leisure and commercial sectors.

Projects currently being tendered for include a Leisure centres, Schools and residential development.

The business is growing and has a vision to grow the turnover and profits by consistently delivering at a high level and providing the best value for their clients.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

You will need to have broad construction knowledge ideally both private and public sectors.

You will have worked on projects up to a minimum of �10M in value

You will have experience of working on negotiated, single stage and 2 stage tenders.

You will be degree qualified from a construction background or hold a HNC/HND in construction.
