Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Estimator to join a Tier 1 contractor working on high-profile rail and civil engineering projects in London. This role offers a competitive day rate, hybrid working, and an initial 12-month contract with the potential for extension.

Responsibilities for Freelance Estimator
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for rail and civil engineering projects.
* Work closely with project managers and engineers to gather accurate project data.
* Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best value is achieved.
* Identify cost-related risks and opportunities for each project.
* Manage tender submissions and ensure compliance with client requirements.
* Present estimates and project costings to senior management.

Requirements for Freelance Estimator
* Proven experience as an Estimator in rail and civil engineering.
* Familiarity with Tier 1 contractor operations and standards.
* Proficiency in estimating software.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts (preferred).
* Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
